1 Custom patches were updates released after the extended support ended, likely requested and paid for by companies with extended support contracts. This date reflects the patch day of the last known update. For more information see MSFN - NT 5.x Windows Update URLs Dump, inc. Custom Support Updates (msfn.org)

2 The Itanium editions (IA-64) do or did not receive further updates in this categories.

3 Workarounds needed - see Windows Update on Windows XP 64-Bit Edition

1 Support is ongoing. End dates and releases could still change

2 Exact date unknown

3 Technical support continued during the lifetime of the product, however only on a case by case basis without public patches and software updates. Thus assuming the end date to be the date of the last Service Pack or the discontinuation announcement, whichever is later.

4 Support continued or continues as a subset of a newer architecture or revision. For example x86-64 CPUs can run x86 16-bit and 32-bit code and ARM64 CPUs can run ARM32 code.

Italic: Discontinued since more than 5 years
